Q:Do you have a minimum hours requirement for pilots.
A:No, all pilots must hold a valid pilots licence (NPPL, LAPL, PPL, CPL or ATPL) with the correct ratings, certificates and privileges for the aircraft being insured. They must hold a valid medical certificate for the licence and ratings held. We do not cover ab-initio training. Adding a pilot with low or no hours on type or low flying hours may increase your premium.

Q:What do I need to do following an incident that could result in a claim under my policy?
A:Following any incident that you think could lead to a claim on your policy, we ask you to contact our loss adjusters Leading Edge Assist as soon as practically possible. Their contact details are:- Leading Edge Assist, Ibex House, Baker Street, Weybridge, Surrey, KT13 8AH. 24 hour telephone line 0333 370 8105. You will need to provide them with your policy number and the aircraft registration marks; full particulars of the event, the subject of a claim with any letters or documents relating to it; give notice of any impending prosecution or civil action; provide such further information and assistance as we may reasonably require; not act in any way to the detriment of or prejudice our interest. If it's a claim against you, we ask that you do not give any admission of liability, payment, offer or promise of payment without our written consent.

Q:What is the minimum and maximum number of Insured Flight Days I can book on a Pay-As-You-Fly policy?
A:The minimum term is one day, cover will end at 23:59 Hours (Local Time At Your Address) on the booked day. The maximum term is the number of Insured Flying Days you have available on your account. If you book a period of continuous days, cover will end at 23:59 Hours (Local Time At Your Address) on the last day. Should you book one day on the same day you need flight cover for, cover will end at 23:59 Hours (Local Time At Your Address) the same day.

Q:When can I book Insured Flying Days on my Ground Cover+ policy?
A:You can book Insured Flying Days at anytime using your Iphone, Smartphone, Tablet or PC. This is done through your FlyCovered account. If you buy and book an Insured Flying Day on the same day you intend to fly, cover will end at 23:59 Hours (Local Time At Your Address) the same day.

Q:How do I report my flying hours in the proposal?
A:We need to know the total hours each pilot that will be named on the policy has logged on the category of aircraft being insured, Ie Fixed-Wing or a Rotary-Wing aircraft. The number of hours each pilot has logged on the class of aircraft being insured, Ie Single Engine Piston (SEP) Multi Engine Piston (MEP) Single Engine Turboprop (SET). Hours on each class count and they can be added together to provide the total number of hours logged. We also need to know if any pilot has under 10 hours logged on the aircraft, model and variant being insured. NOTE: Should you have hours on non powered gliders these cannot be include. Hours on powered gliders and Fixed-Wing microlights may be included under Total Hours on Fixed-Wing aircraft

Q:Can I book a single Insured Flying Day on the same day I want to fly with a Ground Cover+ or On Demand policy?
A:Yes, but the cover will only be in place until 23:59 Hours (Local Time At Your Address) on that booked day.

Q:I have an Pay-As-You-Fly policy, am I restricted to the number of hours I can fly on an Insured Flying Day?
A:No not at all. You can fly as many hours as you wish on any Insured Flying Days you have booked, up until 23:59 Hours (Local Time At Your Address) the same day. If you have booked consecutive days you are covered until 23:59 Hours (Local Time At Your Address) on the last booked day.
