Q:	Are instructors covered under the policy?
A:	Yes they are. Our wording states in the event of there being a qualified flying instructor or examiner on board the aircraft for the purpose of advanced instruction of a Pilot shown in Item 7 of the schedule, the flying instructor or examiner shall be deemed to be a permitted Pilot under this Policy. Ab-Initio Instruction for the purpose of obtaining a licence is not covered. This means use of the aircraft for flight training of a pilot shown in the Schedule, for a purpose other than obtaining a licence necessary to command the aircraft. Advanced instruction includes but is not limited to continuation training, instruction to gain a rating and conversion training. Q:	Can I get covered immediately after accepting my quote?
A:	Yes you can. Instant cover is available on all of our policies. This is subject to you paying the full premium or the Direct Debit deposit by Credit or Debit card. If you have an Pay-As-You-Fly policy you will need to book an Insured Flying Day to have in-flight cover. Q:	Is instruction covered under the policy?
A:	Yes but not Ab-Initio Instruction. We cover any named pilot for advanced instruction. Q:	Do I receive a new Certificate of Insurance each time I book an Insured Flying Day?
A:	Yes you do. We issue a separate Certificate of Insurance for each period of insurance you book on your Ground Cover+ or On Demand policy. You are only covered for flight risks on the insured aircraft when you have booked an Insured Flying Day, through your FlyCovered account and received your Certificate of Insurance, confirming the date and times you are covered. Q:	Is air testing after maintenance or repair covered under this policy?
A:	Yes but we do have some restrictions. This policy is extended to apply to flights in the aircraft undertaken by any person qualified to maintain the aircraft or repair the aircraft if the flight is in connection with the maintenance or repair, provided they hold the appropriate licence to fly the aircraft. Q:	Am I covered to carry passengers if we are "Cost Sharing" the flight?
A:	Yes you are covered. As a private pilot you are allowed to carry up to six cost-sharing passengers in a light aircraft providing, no profit is made. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) says costs do not have to be shared equally but the pilot must make a contribution. We suggest you contact the CAA if you are in any doubt of the rules around this. No profit is allowed in this situation, as that would make it a commercial flight for which an Air Operator Certificate would be needed from the CAA. Q:	Is training use covered under my policy?
A:	We cover any named pilot for advanced instruction. This means use of the aircraft on an Insured Flying Day, for flight training of a pilot shown in the Schedule, for a purpose other than obtaining a licence necessary to command the aircraft. Advanced instruction includes but is not limited to continuation training, instruction to gain a rating and conversion training. We do not cover any Ab-Initio Instruction. Q:	Is air testing for a Certificate of Airworthiness covered under this policy?
A:	Yes but we do have some restrictions. We will cover the aircraft while it is being operated for the purpose of a test flight for the award, renewal or continuation of the Certificate of Airworthiness. The policy will include the aviation authority having jurisdiction over the aircraft, any pilot approved by, employed by or contracted to the aviation authority having jurisdiction over the aircraft for the purpose of such test flight provided they hold the appropriate licence and qualifications to fly the insured aircraft.
