Q:	Is training use covered under my policy?
A:	We cover any named pilot for advanced instruction. This means use of the aircraft on an Insured Flying Day, for flight training of a pilot shown in the Schedule, for a purpose other than obtaining a licence necessary to command the aircraft. Advanced instruction includes but is not limited to continuation training, instruction to gain a rating and conversion training. We do not cover any Ab-Initio Instruction. Q:	Is instruction covered under the policy?
A:	Yes but not Ab-Initio Instruction. We cover any named pilot for advanced instruction. Q:	Are instructors covered under the policy?
A:	Yes they are. Our wording states in the event of there being a qualified flying instructor or examiner on board the aircraft for the purpose of advanced instruction of a Pilot shown in Item 7 of the schedule, the flying instructor or examiner shall be deemed to be a permitted Pilot under this Policy. Ab-Initio Instruction for the purpose of obtaining a licence is not covered. This means use of the aircraft for flight training of a pilot shown in the Schedule, for a purpose other than obtaining a licence necessary to command the aircraft. Q:	Do I receive a new Certificate of Insurance each time I book an Insured Flying Day?
A:	Yes you do. We issue a separate Certificate of Insurance for each period of insurance you book on your Ground Cover+ or On Demand policy. You are only covered for flight risks on the insured aircraft when you have booked an Insured Flying Day, through your FlyCovered account and received your Certificate of Insurance, confirming the date and times you are covered. Q:	What is my Certificate of Insurance?
A:	As an aircraft owner or operator you are required to have and be able to prove that you hold the minimum level of liability insurance required for your aircraft. The insurance certificate document provides this proof. When you purchase a Frequent Flyer policy we will send you an annual Certificate of Insurance. Should you select an Ground Cover+ or On Demand policy, we will send you a Certificate of Insurance for each period of insurance you book. We will also send you a new Certificate of Insurance should you make any changes to your policy. It is recommended that you carry your Certificate of Insurance when you are intending to operate your aircraft, should a CAA inspector require proof of cover. Q:	Whats Insurance Premium Tax or IPT?
A:	Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) is a tax on general insurance premiums. The IPT to be paid on the premium is determined by the country of registration of the aircraft. The physical location of the aircraft is irrelevant, e.g. an aircraft that is registered in the UK but based in France is located in the UK and pays UK Tax. Commercial aircraft is exempt from IPT. Q:	Can I get covered immediately after accepting my quote?
A:	Yes you can. Instant cover is available on all of our policies. This is subject to you paying the full premium or the Direct Debit deposit by Credit or Debit card. If you have an Pay-As-You-Fly policy you will need to book an Insured Flying Day to have in-flight cover. Q:	How do I renew my FlyCovered policy?
A:	We will email your renewal invitation to you at least 21 days before your policy renewal date to the email address you have provided. This will show the details of your premium for the coming year, the premium you paid the previous year and a selection of policy options and premiums. The email will have instructions on how to renew your policy. It will inform you how to retrieve your existing details, you will need to confirm or amend them. Should you make any changes, we will tell you whether we are able to accept the change and if the change will result in revised renewal terms at the end of the process. If you do not inform us about a change it may affect any claim you make, or could result in your insurance being invalid. Remember to update all named pilots flying hours at this time, it may reduce your premium. Q:	Is air testing after maintenance or repair covered under this policy?
A:	Yes but we do have some restrictions. This policy is extended to apply to flights in the aircraft undertaken by any person qualified to maintain the aircraft or repair the aircraft if the flight is in connection with the maintenance or repair, provided they hold the appropriate licence to fly the aircraft. Full details of this cover, including any exclusions or conditions, are available in the FlyCovered policy wording.
