How can we help?

Question : passenger

Q:What happens if there is more than one Insured on the policy?
A:A condition appears in the liability sections of your FlyCovered policy wording. It states that each Insured under these sections are considered as third parties to the others and as such they are both entitled to protection, separately. For example, an aircraft that is owned by more than one party, which is involved in an occurrence where one part owner is piloting the aircraft and another part owner travelling as a passenger at the time, such passenger would not necessarily receive the protection under the passenger liability section as they are a part owner of the aircraft. This particular condition, however, extends cover in a number of ways and in this situation will ensure that any part owner travelling as a passenger in the aircraft, will receive the same level of protection as would any other passenger. The total liability of the insurer shall not exceed the applicable limits as shown in the Schedule, less any applicable deductible. Full details of cover, including any exclusions or conditions, are available in the FlyCovered policy wording.

Q:Does the policy cover me when I am flying in Danish airspace?
A:Yes it does. The policy is extended to include automatic personal accident insurance as required by applicable legislation in any place to, from, or in which you operate the aircraft or shall operate the aircraft. This extension applies in respect of aircraft liability for those territories which have statutory limits for passenger personal accident, notably German aviation insurance law and the Danish Act. Full details of this cover, including any exclusions or conditions, are available in the FlyCovered policy wording.

Q:Can I change the sum insured for my public liability cover?
A:Yes. During the application process we offer you the minimum required liability cover. This is based on the aircraft's maximum takeoff weight, number of passenger seats and type of use. You can increase the liability cover up to £15,000,000 at that time or after you have purchased the policy. The change can be made through your FlyCovered account. Log in to your account, go to MANAGE MY POLICY, select Manage aircraft where you can select the required Public Liability cover.
