What are Insured Flying Days? They are used with our On Demand and Ground Cover + policies. You book the days online when you need flight cover so you're only paying for the days you’re flying. There are no restrictions on the hours you can fly on these days and you can book them at any time before you fly. Just buy additional days when you need them. All of our policies cover your aircraft when it’s sitting on the ground.
Insured Flying Days included in your premium. Flight cover is optional with our Ground Cover + policy. With our On Demand policy you have 7 Insured Flying Days included in the premium. With our Frequent Flyer policy annual flight cover is included.

Annual Ground Cover. Comprehensive ground cover protecting the aircraft insured under this policy when it is not in the air, for physical loss of or damage to the aircraft. Eg theft, malicious damage or storm damage. This section of the policy also covers your legal liability to others arising when the aircraft is on the ground, including when you are moving the aircraft or running the engines.
Cancel Insured Flying Days. You can cancel any booked days before midnight the day before you intended to fly. We credit your FlyCovered account with the cancelled days Free Of Charge.
Rollover of unused Insured Flying Days. If you have unused Insured Flying Days in your On Demand or Ground Cover + account when its time to renew your policy, we will automatically rollover up to 7 unused days free of charge. For On Demand customers this could give you 14 Insured Flying Days on your renewed policy.
Price Cap. We guarantee that, no matter how many Insured Flying Days you buy and add to your On Demand or Ground Cover + account, you will never pay more than the Frequent Flyer premium quoted when you purchased your policy. If the annual premium plus any premiums for additional Insured Flying Days equals is more than the quoted Frequent Flyer premium, we automatically credit your FlyCovered account with FREE flight days until your policy renewal date.
Legal Liability to Third Parties and Passengers. This covers you for your legal liability to third parties and passengers, including passenger baggage and personal effects, arising from your use of the aircraft.
Breach of Air Navigation Regulations. Your policy shall not be invalidated by any act or omission which results in a breach of any air navigation or airworthiness orders or requirements affecting the safe operation of the aircraft, provided that you have not caused, contributed to or knowingly condoned the act or omission.
No Claims Discount (NCD) on renewed policies. If you remain claim free a NCD will apply to the policy. Full details are available in your policy wording.
Supplementary Payments. This covers any reasonable expenses incurred for the purpose of search and rescue operations for the aircraft, runway foaming, attempted or actual raising, removal, disposal or destruction of the wreck of the aircraft and the contents of the aircraft, fees in respect of any public inquiry or inquiry by the Civil Aviation Authority or any other relevant authority into an event involving the aircraft.
Aviation Authority Test Flights. This covers the aircraft whilst being operated for the purpose of a test flight for the award, renewal or continuation of the Certificate Of Airworthiness.
Civil Use of MOD Airfields or Crown Indemnity. This cover is also known as Crown Indemnity. The UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) requires you to have at least £7,500,000 of liability cover when you are operating your aircraft on their airfields. This increased liability cover is automatically provided in your policy.
Out Of Notified Hours. This covers your use of certain airfields and/or airports out of the notified hours.
Aircraft Financial Interest. We will pay any party named on the policy that has a financial interest in the aircraft following a loss, if required under any financial or lease agreement.
Trespassers Costs. Cover to pay land owners a reasonable settlement in respect of physical loss of or damage to crops, following a crash or forced landing of the aircraft.
Automatic Personal Accident. Cover applies in respect of automatic personal accident insurance as required by applicable legislation in any place to, from or in which you operate the aircraft or shall operate the aircraft.

Aircraft Use. Our policies provide cover for private and pleasure purposes including incidental business or professional purposes and advanced instruction of the pilots named on the policy, but not for hire or reward.
Geographical Limits. The geographical limits you can operate the aircraft in is Europe. Insurers definition of this is: West of 30o East longitude – all countries that have borders within West of 30o E excluding Russia. East of 25o West longitude North of 35o North latitude. For the purposes of the policy Europe shall include all Mediterranean islands.
Forced Landing. In the event of a forced landing, in any place where the aircraft is unable to take-off safely, insurers will pay for all reasonable costs, expenses or expenditure for the removal of the aircraft to the nearest suitable take-off area and any reasonable emergency expenses necessarily incurred by you for the immediate safety of the aircraft. Road Transportation. Whilst the aircraft is being transported by any means of conveyance, agreed by insurers following a claim covered under the policy.

Trip Interruption. If the aircraft becomes unairworthy as a result of physical loss or damage, this policy option provides up to £500 of cover for any reasonable expenses you incur for food, travel and lodging of pasengers and pilots. Airside Vehicle Liability. This policy option provides up to £250,000 of cover to protect against claims made against you, from the authorised use of any vehicle owned or operated by you within the confines of any airport or airfield in connection with the aircraft. Full details of this option, including any conditions and exclusions, are available in the policy wording.
Pilots Personal Accident. This additional option provides up to £10,000 of cover to each pilot insured under the policy if they sustain physical injury caused by an aviation incident while they are piloting the aircraft. In addition this option also includes £1,500 each insured person for each aviation incident in respect of medical and related expenses. Flying Clothing and Effects. This policy option provides up to £2,000 of cover in respect of physical loss of or damage to flying clothing and effects by theft or fire (or physical damage to flying clothing and effects if the aircraft itself is damaged). Flying clothing and effects means flying clothing, maps, navigating equipment and instruments, headsets, safety equipment or similar equipment (not being fixtures in the aircraft) and baggage (including contents) actually in or on the aircraft being the insured’s property or the property of any pilot insured under the policy, but excluding money, credit cards, securities, jewellery and furs of all kinds. Buy Insured Flying Days. Buy and use single Insured Flying Days with our Ground Cover+ policy. Use the 7 Insured Flying Days you have included in the On Demand policy, then buy 1, 7 or 10 days when you need them.
Road TransportationThis additional option provides coverage during the policy period for physical loss of or damage to the aircraft whilst the aircraft is being transported at any time by any suitable means of road conveyance. Cover is subject to all precautions being taken to ensure the safety of the aircraft during the period of transportation. The sum insured is up to the agreed value of the aircraft. The deductible for this option is 5% of the aircraft agreed value or your selected deductible whichever is the higher. Aerobatics CoverThis additional policy option provides coverage during the policy period for flights in the insured aircraft undertaken by the insured pilot for the purpose of non-competitive aerobatics. Cover is subject to national and / or international air regulations. The pilot must hold the appropriate aerobatic licence rating for the aircraft and have received the appropriate training required to perform aerobatic manoeuvres.
