Drones are unpredictable but our claims service isn't. If something goes wrong we're here for you to help resolve your claim as quickly as possible.

FlyCovered and your insurer Tokio Marine Kiln are committed to handling claims promptly and efficiently. To minimise delays, your insurer has appointed loss adjusters Charles Taylor who will manage your claims directly. It is essential that you notify them immediately or as soon as reasonably practicable of any claim, loss, incident, or circumstance that may lead to a claim under your policy.

How To Make a Claim

To start the claim process please provide the following information by Email to: [email protected]

  • Your Contact Details.
  • Your Policy Number.
  • The Date of the incident.
  • The Drone type and serial number.
  • Particulars of the incident and the subject of the claim.

We suggest collating the following additional information for the loss adjuster to avoid any delay in completing your claim.

  • Proof of purchase or ownership of the drone or equipment.
  • Any telemetric data, log books, or other records in connection with the flight.
  • Any required permission to fly for the insured flight.
  • Any valid registration/approval/qualifications you hold.
  • Any police crime reference number following a theft or malicious damage to any drone or equipment.

Following any claim:

  • Do not make any admission of liability, offer, or promise payment without written consent from the loss adjuster.
  • Contact the police immediately regarding any theft or malicious damage.
  • Do not act in any way to the detriment of or prejudice the interest of your insurers.
  • Inform the loss adjuster immediately of any letters or documents relating to the claim; or notice of any impending prosecution or civil action you may receive.
  • Do not agree to any replacement or repair of items without written agreement from the loss adjuster.
  • The loss adjuster or the insurer reserves the right to request additional documentation or information as required.

Note: To avoid any delays or issues with your claim, please ensure you provide any requested information and supporting documents. The loss adjuster can only process your claim efficiently once they have everything they need. The more detail and evidence you provide, the smoother and faster the process will be.
