Question : I require 3rd party annual insurance for a powered paraglider

Q:Does the policy cover Third Party War, Terrorism and Allied Perils?
A:Yes it does. It is shown in the policy wording under Endorsement 7 EXTENDED COVERAGE (Aviation Liability) this may also be known as AVN 52. It will also be shown in your Certificate Of Insurance under section 7. LIABILITY LIMITS OF INSURANCE APPLICABLE TO THIS CERTIFICATE: (b) Third Party War, Terrorism and Allied Perils being insured on an aggregate basis as above, as permissible in accordance with Article 7.1 of EC Regulation 785/2004.

Q:What is my Certificate of Insurance?
A:As an aircraft owner or operator you are required to have and be able to prove that you hold the minimum level of liability insurance required for your aircraft. The insurance certificate document provides this proof. When you purchase a Frequent Flyer policy we will send you an annual Certificate of Insurance. Should you select an Ground Cover+ or On Demand policy, we will send you a Certificate of Insurance for each period of insurance you book. We will also send you a new Certificate of Insurance should you make any changes to your policy. It is recommended that you carry your Certificate of Insurance when you are intending to operate your aircraft, should a CAA inspector require proof of cover. A copy is always available in your FlyCovered account.

Q:How do I report my flying hours in the proposal?
A:We need to know the total hours each pilot that will be named on the policy has logged on the category of aircraft being insured, Ie Total hours on all Fixed-Wing aircraft. Then the number of hours each pilot has logged on the class of aircraft being insured, Ie Single Engine Piston (SEP) Multi Engine Piston (MEP) Single Engine Turboprop (SET). Hours on each class count and they can be added together to provide the total number of hours logged. We also need to know if any pilot has under 10 hours logged on the aircraft, model and variant being insured. NOTE: Should you have hours on non powered gliders these cannot be include. Hours on powered / motor gliders and Fixed-Wing microlights may be included under Total Hours on Fixed-Wing aircraft

Q:How can I pay for my policy?
A:We offer 2 payment options. You can pay the annual premium in full using a Credit or Debit card or use our interest free payment plan. If you select the payment plan we will ask you for a deposit to be paid from your Credit or Debit card. You then pay the outstanding amount over 10 months from your bank account by Direct Debit. The options are offered to you at the end of the application process. Should you have a claim we will require you to pay any outstanding premium in full.

Q:Is Pay-As-You-Fly a traditional annual aviation insurance policy?
A:No. You get all the benefits of a traditional aviation policy you just pay for in-flight cover when you need it. With a traditional aviation policy, you pay for in-flight cover when your aircraft is sitting on the ground. Our Pay-As-You-Fly policy provides comprehensive annual ground cover and 7 Insured Flying Days to use when you need in-flight cover. You have the option to purchase additional in-flight cover at a fixed daily rate when you have used the 7 included days. You can select and book Insured Flying Days through your FlyCovered account before you fly, even on the same day; it only takes a couple minutes from your Iphone, smartphone, tablet or PC, you can fly as many hours as you wish on these days.

Q:What is the policy Wording?
A:This policy wording document along with your Schedule, Certificate of Insurance and any endorsements make up your policy. You should read these documents carefully and make sure that they meet your needs. It is important that: you check that the sections of coverage you have requested are included in this policy; you comply with your duties under each section and under this policy as a whole. You should regularly review your cover to ensure that it is adequate and continues to meet your needs. You can access your insurance documents through your FlyCovered account www.flycovered.com. Q:Will a Ground Cover+ or On Demand policy cost me more than a Frequent Flyer annual policy if I fly more than I expected to?
A:No, we have a Price Cap. If you choose an Ground Cover+ or On Demand policy, we guarantee that you won't pay any more than the Frequent Flyer annual premium we quoted you, when you purchased your Ground Cover+ or On Demand policy. Our system keeps a record of your Ground Cover+ or On Demand premium and any additional Insured Flying Days you purchase. If your premium spend equals or is more than the Frequent Flyer annual premium we quoted you when you purchased your Ground Cover+ or On Demand policy, we automatically credit your FlyCovered account with FREE Insured Flying Days until your policy renews. You will still need to book Insured Flying Days through your Ground Cover+ or On Demand FlyCovered account but you won't be charged for these days.

Q:Can I change from an Ground Cover+ or On Demand policy to a Frequent Flyer annual policy?
A:Yes but you will need to call our customer services team to arrange this. Also it may not be worth it. With our Price Cap you will never pay more than the Frequent Flyer annual policy, therefore you may be better off staying with this policy, if your flying more than 30 days during the policy period. If you have any unused or unbooked Insured Flying Days remaining in your FlyCovered account at your policy renewal date, we will automatically Rollover up to 7 unused flight days. Alternatively you can cancel your policy and take out a new Frequent Flyer annual policy, we will give you a pro rata return premium on your Ground Cover+ or On Demand to put against the new policy. The cancellation may be subject to a £25 administration fee. The Rollover Days have no value should you cancel your policy following any renewal. Rollover days cannot be moved between policy types; for example you are unable to move rollover days from an On Demand policy to a Ground Cover+ policy. This is because the days have different values.
