A:Free Insured Flying Days are part of our Premium Guarantee. If your premium spend, including the purchase of any Insured Flying Days, equals or is more than the annual drone premium we quoted you when you purchased your Pay As You Fly+ policy, we automatically credit your FlyCovered account with FREE Insured Flying Days until your policy renews. This is activated if you need to buy an additional 30 Insured Flying days. You will still need to book Insured Flying Days to add in-flight cover through your Pay As You Fly+ account but you won't be charged for these days.

Q:Can I fly before booking an Insured Flying Day?
A:No, you must always book your Insured Flying Days before you start flying. You are only insured for in-flight cover after you have booked a day and you have received your certificate of insurance by email.

A:The number of Insured Flying Days you have available are always shown in your FlyCovered account. Log on and select FLIGHT PLANNER, they are shown in the bar above your calendar. They are also shown on your latest Certificate of Insurance and in the the My Documents section of Manage My Policy. If you need more days you can purchase them by selecting BUY DAYS.

Q:How many Insured Flying Days can I buy on my Pay As You Fly+ policy?
A:You can buy as many Insured Flying Days as you wish. We will inform you of the daily rate when you purchase your policy. If you purchase 30 additional days, your account will be credited with unlimited Insured Flying Days until your renewal date.

Q:When can I start booking insured flying days?
A:When you have paid your premium in full, or if your paying by Direct Debit, when you have paid the deposit premium. You will then receive your welcome email with your FlyCovered account PIN. The email will have all the instructions on how to manage your account, including how to book Insured Flying Days and buy additional days when you need them.

A:Yes you do. We issue a separate Certificate of Insurance for each period of insurance you book on your Pay As You Fly+ policy. You are only covered for in-flight risks when you have booked an Insured Flying Day through your FlyCovered account and received your Certificate of Insurance confirming the date and times you are covered.

Q:Am I insured for flying over water and offshore?
A:Although we do not exclude you from flying over water, you are required to comply with the local/national aviation regulations and have the correct permits and extended permissions in place if required for any cover to be operative.

Q:How do I know the number of policy days I have remaining on my Pay As You Fly+ policy to use my Insured Flying Days?
A:The days remaining on your policy are always shown in your FlyCovered account. Log into your FlyCovered account and select FLIGHT PLANNER. You will find them in the bar above the calendar, along with the number of Insured Flying Days you have remaining in your account and the policy days you have remaining to use them. The remaining number of policy days and Insured Flying Days are also shown on your latest Certificate of Insurance and in the the My Documents section of Manage My Policy.

Q:I need more in-flight cover how do I buy additional Insured Flying Days?
A:You can buy these through your FlyCovered account and it only takes a couple of minutes. Log into your account and select Buy Days. Select the number of days you wish to buy and proceed to payment. When you need buy additional Insured Flying Days we ask you to pay for them in full at the time of purchase by Credit or Debit card. If you are paying by Direct Debit, Insured Flying Days can not be added to the instalment plan and have to be paid by Credit or Debit card.

Q:What happens if I book Insured Flying Days but I am unable to use them?
A:We know plans can change and have catered for that. You can cancel booked Insured Flying Days through your FlyCovered account. The Insured day(s) have to be cancelled before 23:59 Hours (Local Time At Your Address) the day before you intended to fly. The cancelled days will be credited to your FlyCovered account and there is no cost for doing this. If you do not cancel before 23:59 Hours (Local Time At Your Address) you will lose that Insured Flying Day.

Q:What are Rollover Days and how do they work?
A:Rollover Days are part of our Pay As You Fly+ policy. We are the first company to introduce Rollover Days to insurance to help you avoid wasting any premiums you have paid. If you have any unused or unbooked Insured Flying Days remaining in your Pay As You Fly+ account at your renewal date, we automatically Rollover up to 7 unused Insured Flying Days. This could give you up to 37 Insured Flying Days to use during your next policy period if you renew your policy with us. The Rollover Days have no value should you cancel your policy following any renewal. Rollover days cannot be moved between policy types; for example you are unable to move rollover days from an Pay As You Fly policy to an Annual Policy.

A:Yes. As a commercial operator or own business user you are covered to use the drone for the purpose of maintaining your skill and proficiency of the insured drone, we call this continuation flying. The policy also covers you whilst participating in a drone training course/school/academy. We do not cover recreational use. If you have a Pay As You Fly policy you are only covered for in-flight risks when you have booked an Insured Flying Day through your FlyCovered account and received your Certificate of Insurance confirming the date and times you are covered. Q:If I have a qualified pilot named in my operations manual will they be able to use the Insured Flying Days on my account?
A:Yes they will. The named policyholder has to book the Insured Flying Days days through the FlyCovered account before any in-flight cover is in place.

Q:If I have a Pay As You Fly+ policy, can I book Insured Flying Days without an internet connection?
A:Yes. Although this is an online insurance service we fully understand internet connections can be temperamental at times. If you are unable to get an internet connection, you can call our Customer Service Team on 0208 059 8542 lines are open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. The team can access your account with your permission and book an Insured Flying Day for you. To do this they will request a selection of letters from your memorable word, they will never request the whole word. If you feel the area you will be booking Insured Flying Days from will not have any internet access, you can book days prior to arriving at the airport.

Q:If I have a Pay As You Fly+ policy and I forgot to book an Insured Flying Day, can I backdate cover?
A:No, this is not possible. With a Pay As You Fly+ policy you must book an Insured Flying Day before any flight to be covered for flight risk. No cover can be backdated.

Q:How much will additional Insured Flying Days cost me if I need them?
A:The premium for each Insured Flying Day is calculated at a daily rate and is linked to your risk. The daily premiums will be provided with your quote and are always shown in your FlyCovered account.

Q:Will a Pay As You Fly+ policy cost me more than your annual policy if I fly more than I expected too?
A:Not with our premium guarantee and price cap. We guarantee that you won't pay any more than the annual premium we quoted you when you purchased your Pay As You Fly+ policy. Our system keeps a record of your premium and any additional Insured Flying Days you purchase. Q:What is a Policy Schedule and when do I receive it?
A:This is the document that the administrator sends you by email when you purchase this policy. It includes but is not limited to your details, the premium paid, the insured drone, and the sections of cover applicable to your policy. If you have a Pay As You Fly+ it will show the total number of Insured Flying Days available at the time of purchase. A revised Schedule will only be issued when there are variations to the terms and conditions of this policy and should you purchase any additional Insured Flying Days.

Q:If I buy additional Insured Flying Days and then cancel my policy, do I receive a refund for those days I haven't used?
A:Should you buy Insured Flying Days for your Pay As You Fly+ policy but cancel your policy before you use them all, we will give you a pro rata return premium for those days. This will be added to the pro rata return premium for the remaining period you have left on your policy.

Your Liability to third parties is also covered. Liability cover is available from £1 Million to £50 Million to cover claims made against you for accidental property damage or injury to a member of the public whilst you are operating your drone, cover includes noise complaints and invasion of privacy. With the Pay As You Fly+ policy you have 30 days in-flight cover included in your premium to use when you need them. If you start cover on the same day it will be in place until midnight that day.

Q:How do I book an Insured Flying Days on a Pay As You Fly+ policy to cover my drone in-flight?
A:You book them through your FlyCovered account, it takes two minutes. Log into your account and go to FLIGHT PLANNER. The days you can book are shown in green on the calendar. Click on the day you need in-flight cover, a booking screen will appear. Enter your PIN and select BOOK to confirm the booking. When you have booked Insured Flying Days you will receive a Certificate of Insurance by email; this will confirm the drone and the time and date you are insured for in-flight cover. A drone icon will be shown on the days you have booked. If you need to insure consecutive days repeat the process.

Q:What is the minimum and maximum number of Insured Flying Days I can book on an Pay As You Fly+ policy?
A:The minimum term is one day, cover will end at 23:59 Hours (Local Time At Your Address) on the booked day. The maximum term is the number of Insured Flying Days you have available on your account. Q:Can any pilot named in my operations manual book a day?
A:Not at the moment, this facility will be available soon. The person named as the insured on the Schedule has control of the drone flight planner. This will change soon and all named pilots will be able to book Insured Flying Days. You could give the operator your login details but we can't recommend you do that.

Q:What policy add-ons are available?
A:The following Add-ons are available and shown in bold text. UAS Operators Indemnity. Covers the third party liabilities of any qualified pilot authorised by you to operate the insured drone. This cover is required should you need to have additional pilots operating your drones. Liability To UAS Operators. Covers your liability to any qualified drone pilot authorised by you to operate the insured drone excluding, employers' liability insurance. Cyber Extension Loss of Digital Assets. This covers the costs you incur for the loss of digital assets as a direct result of damage, alteration, corruption, distortion, theft, misuse, or destruction of your digital assets directly caused by a computer virus, whether through malicious acts or non-malicious acts. The policy covers up to £10,000 each digital asset loss Strikes, Malicious Acts And Hi-jacking. Q:What happens to unused Insured Flying Days at the end of the policy term and I do not renew my policy with you?
A:Unfortunately any unused days will be lost if you do not renew your policy with us. If you renew your Pay As You Fly+ policy we automatically rollover up to 7 unused days to use during the next policy year.

Q:How do i add a drone to my policy?
A:This is quite easy. Log in to your FlyCovered account. Select MANAGE MY POLICY. Select Manage Drone and follow the instructions. If the drone is acceptable and you wish to add it to your policy, select Update My Policy. When payment is received we will email you confirmation of the change with a new Schedule, please check the details are correct. When you book Insured Flying Days, the Certificate of Insurance will show the new drone details; please check they are correct.
