Q:Whats Insurance Premium Tax or IPT?
A:Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) is a tax on general insurance premiums. The IPT to be paid on the premium is determined by the country of registration of the aircraft. The physical location of the aircraft is irrelevant, e.g. an aircraft that is registered in the UK but based in France is located in the UK and pays UK Tax. Commercial aircraft is exempt from IPT. Our system will allocate the applicable tax to the country of aircraft registration.
